The project called for extending the living room by approximately five feet, which may sound simple, but the real complexity was in how the addition would affect the home’s roofline.

Other contractors had looked at the job and offered a quick fix: a flat roof. While functional, that kind of solution would’ve stood out (in the wrong way) and taken away from the overall curb appeal of the home.

Our Solution: Build It Like It Was Always There

We approached it differently.

Instead of forcing something onto the house, we designed a solution that complemented it. We extended the existing ridgeline just a couple of feet and then introduced a hip roof that tied seamlessly into the original structure. This roof system covered the addition—including the new bay window—and made the new space feel like it had always been part of the home.

This design didn’t just add space—it elevated the entire look of the house.
